National Association of Women Business Owners, Atlanta (NAWBO)

The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) is the only dues-based national organization representing the interests of all women entrepreneurs in all types of businesses. The national organization has more than 80 chapters and, during its 25+-year history, has become the voice of America's women entrepreneurs. The Atlanta chapter was formed in 1997 and has as its mission “to foster and promote the success of women business owners.”

Membership is open to any individual woman business owner or partner who exercises the power to make policy decisions and is actively involved in the day-to-day management of the company. Programs include monthly meetings, networking socials, CEO roundtables and educational workshops and seminars, as well as community involvement through such groups as Dress for Success and the United Way's microenterprise program for women.
